Scout led troop in Millbrae since 1960
Troop 355 aims to develop responsible young adults of character who are not afraid to face life's challenges. Our varied program are scout led and mixes team building, outdoor activities and community service projects. The troop plans numerous weekend backpacking and site-camping trips plus hiking, biking, kayaking and shooting sports events throughout the year. Community Service events include local flag ceremonies, beach clean up, food drives, and annual Memorial Day grave decorating.

Activity Highlights

Summer in the redwoods
Summer means one thing: a week in the redwoods at Camp Royaneh. Scouts spend their days earning badges in archery, horseback riding, swimming, and shooting, and their nights sharing s’mores and laughter around a glowing campfire.

A wilderness odyssey
High Adventure is where older Scouts push their limits. Backpacking 20–25 miles over three or more days, they explore breathtaking terrain and build real backcountry confidence. Previous odysseys include Emigrant Wilderness, Catalina, Point Reyes, and Yosemite.

Year round action & exploration
From monthly camping trips to hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, skiing, and shooting sports, our Scouts lead the way. Patrol leaders choose the adventures, plan the outings, and make every year unforgettable.

Service is the heart of our program
Serving the community is at the core of who we are. Our Scouts lead flag ceremonies, clean beaches and parks, support local food drives, and honor veterans by placing grave decorations on Memorial Day.
